Each farm has its own unique growing climate.

Sage Mountain Farm is well known in the Inland Empire for their wonderful vegetables grown with pure well water. Their location in the high desert gives them a unique ability to grow a diverse variety of crops year round.

De Luz farms and Nursery located in the hills above Temecula has been growing avocados, citrus and other subtropical fruits for many years. Only about 12 miles from the ocean, the mild Mediterranean type climate allows them to grow many subtropical fruits that would not grow further inland.

This arrangement allows The Inland Empire CSA to offer a wider variety of fruits and vegetables than many other CSAs. All of the produce is always locally grown.

From opening a little styrofoam box, unwrapping and consuming their "fast food" to a fine meal at a five star restaurant and every meal in between, one rarely gives a thought how that bounty made its way onto their plate, tray or bag.

You go to the grocery store, wind up and down the aisles tossing your loot into the cart and head out the door. As consumers, we rarely if ever, think about how that product made its way onto the shelf or who was involved getting it there.

By joining a CSA you will take the mystery out of where some of your food comes from, how it was grown, and who grew it.
